The Kinship of the Herd

A living exploration of learning to live in right relationship

I've gained so much from being a part of The Kinship of the Herd community. Learning that the natural instincts and behaviors of horses can be a tool to help me change patterns in my own life, as well as within my family, is so enlightening. Even just recognizing and thinking about how I process the world and respond to it and the people (and animals) in my little world has brought me so much enrichment. - Jennifer from Woodstock, GA

I've had the privilege and pleasure of working (entirely remotely) with Kim and the Unbridled herd for several years. It would take pages to describe what this experience has meant to me. In short, being a part of the Unbridled community has offered me an invaluable opportunity to enjoy a deep sense of safety and belonging that does not come easily for me. This safe place has allowed me to feel emotionally supported, inspired, seen and heard. If The Kinship of the Herd, or any of Kim's content, energy, or messages resonate with you, I encourage you to trust that feeling. I am so grateful that I did!!!  - Barbara from Pottstown, PA

The Kinship of the Herd
Monthly Subscription

A living exploration of learning to live in right relationship

The Kinship of the Herd is a membership community centered around a monthly live online gathering for people who value thoughtful conversation, shared inquiry, and the kind of learning that emerges when we bring our lived experiences into relationship with one another while drawing on the wisdom of horses and the natural world.

There is no requirement to own horses or work professionally with them. Members come from different backgrounds but share a willingness to participate openly, reflect honestly, listen with care, and contribute to the life and wellbeing of the community.

Included: The Horse Wisdom Companion Series

Members receive access to a digital edition of Kim Hallin’s book, Horse Wisdom: Life Lessons for Humanity, along with recorded small-group conversations exploring every chapter and lesson.

The Companion Series is not a conventional course. It is an invitation to think alongside a community of readers whose questions, stories, and perspectives continue expanding the wisdom of the book beyond the page.

What Membership Includes

  • One live 90-minute online gathering each month (second Monday, alternating between 2PM ET and 7:30PM ET)
  • Access to the Horse Wisdom Companion Series
  • A digital edition of Horse Wisdom
  • Access to the private member space, forum, blog, previously recorded gatherings and shared resources

How the Gatherings Work

Each monthly gathering centers around a question, theme, or lived experience connected with right relationship. I offer enough structure to help the conversation deepen, but the gathering is not a lecture or group coaching call. Members help shape what emerges through their observations, questions, stories, and thoughtful participation.

This Community May Be a Good Fit If...

  • You are drawn to meaningful conversation rather than quick answers.
  • You are willing to reflect on your own participation in relationships.
  • You value horses and nature as sources of wisdom without expecting them to be used as tools.
  • You want community, but not dependency.
  • You are prepared to contribute as well as receive.

This May Not Be the Right Fit If...

The Kinship may not be the best fit if you are primarily seeking individualized coaching, horse-training advice, trauma processing, or a course with a fixed sequence and predetermined outcomes.

Investment

$35 per month (or save 10% by choosing the annual subscription vs. monthly subscription.)

Membership begins immediately and is billed on the same day every month (or year) until canceled. Members retain the ability to suspend or cancel their own membership at any time.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Do I need to be a horse person or own a horse to join?

No. Anyone who feels inspired by the more-than-human world is welcome in the Kinship of the Herd!

2. Are gatherings recorded?

Yes. And the recordings are posted in the Zoom Archive within the membership site.

3. Must I attend every month?

No. Live attendance is completely optional.

4. Is this group coaching?

No. The Kinship of the Herd is a facilitated community of practice, not a group coaching program. Kim helps frame and deepen the monthly conversations, but members are not coached individually or given personalized solutions. The emphasis is on shared inquiry, honest reflection, and learning through one another’s lived experiences.

5. Can I join at any time?

Yes. New members are welcome at any time.

6. How do I cancel?

Subscribing members can cancel at any time by logging into the membership site, clicking on their profile picture, navigating to their order history, selecting the active purchase, and clicking the cancel or auto-renew toggle. Access to the site remains active until the end of the paid billing period.

7. What is the difference between Kinship and CCHC?

The Kinship of the Herd is reflection and conversation-centered. Learning emerges through thoughtful dialogue inspired by the topics in Horse Wisdom: Life Lessons for Humanity, shared reflection, and the wisdom that develops in relationship with the natural world. The Kinship asks, "What can we discover and understand more deeply together?"

The Conscious Co-Healing Collective is deeper-exploration-and-practice-centered. Members engage with evolving, paradigm-shifting Focused Explorations while placing what they are learning into immediate embodied practice within the community and their own lives. The Collective asks, "How can we consciously practice what we're discovering?"

Both are communities of practice. They simply offer different pathways into the work.

8. Can I join both communities?

Absolutely. Many members choose to participate in both communities and consistently describe them as complementing one another beautifully.

The Kinship of the Herd offers a spacious place to slow down, reflect, and learn through thoughtful conversation and relationship.

The Conscious Co-Healing Collective invites members to explore specific themes more deeply and put what they're learning into immediate practice.

Some people find one community is exactly what they're looking for. Others discover that participating in both creates a natural rhythm of reflection, exploration, and lived practice.

Still not sure which community is the best fit?

You're welcome to email me. Tell me a little about yourself, what drew you here, and what you're hoping to explore. I'll gladly help you discern which community—or combination of communities—feels like the best place to begin.
